Overview of Need

Churchill Partners is seeking a high-calibre Board Member to support capital structuring, governance, and investor oversight across its acquisition portfolio. This role is ideal for individuals with strong financial, governance, and investor-facing credibility who can provide independent perspective, enhance board discipline, and ensure PE-level rigour without being involved in day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will help shape investment decisions, safeguard investor confidence, and advise executive teams on strategy, governance frameworks, and portfolio-level oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on acquisition financing, capital structures, and deal execution.
  • Provide independent oversight of governance frameworks across portfolio companies.
  • Support investor confidence through robust board discipline and reporting.
  • Ensure boards operate to private equity standards and best practice.
  • Act as a trusted counterbalance to executive teams while providing strategic insight.

Candidate Profile – Essential Experience

  • Senior financial or governance experience (CFO, Chair, SID, or investor).
  • Experience in PE-backed, acquisitive, or transaction-heavy environments.
  • Strong skills in governance, risk, and financial oversight.
  • Comfortable operating at board and shareholder levels with credibility and authority.
  • Strategic thinker able to influence without day-to-day operational responsibility.
