Overview of Need
RevoNA is seeking an Executive Chair to work closely with the founding team and Board, providing hands-on leadership, guiding strategy, supporting fundraising, and enhancing credibility with investors and partners. This is an active leadership role for an experienced operator with deep domain knowledge in RNA biology and drug discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the founding team and Board on business planning, prioritisation, and execution.
- Lead or support Series A fundraising and investor engagement.
- Shape and drive the company’s capital and financing strategy.
- Advance strategic partnerships, particularly with pharmaceutical companies.
- Act as an external ambassador with investors, partners, and senior stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and constructive challenge as the company scales.
Candidate Profile – Essential Experience
- Prior experience as a Chair or senior Board member in life sciences or deep tech.
- Proven track record in early-stage company growth, including Series A fundraising (£10M+) and strategic partnerships.
- Strong credibility with investors, partners, and senior stakeholders; pharmaceutical experience essential.
- Deep understanding of RNA-targeted drug discovery, small-molecule therapeutics, and clinical/regulatory requirements.
- Experience with international fundraising and investor networks is advantageous.
- Collaborative, hands-on leadership style aligned with a science-led organisation.
Remuneration & Appointment
- Competitive package, including equity and performance-based incentives.
- Initial hybrid commitment of 2–3 days per week, transitioning to full-time within 9–12 months.
- Central role in shaping strategy, guiding growth, and unlocking long-term enterprise value.
